I looked out the window and look what I saw!

Just outside our sliding glass doors this afternoon these
two guys thought they needed a little snack. They jumped
the small barb wire fence that seperates our back yard from
a field of hay.

Bryan said there were droppings in our yard,
I guess now we have the culprits.

For several mornings the fog and frost has
been very thick. I thought these trees looked
cool with frost accumulated on them.
A winter wonderland.

Who needs to buy fake flocking
when you can look outside and see
it for free?

on a soap box UNDER THE WEATHER

For the past four weeks (since a few days after Christmas) we have all been sick with colds. Minus Bryan the lucky guy. Just when one of us starts to feel better another one's cold will flare up again. A vicious cycle. We've been trying to stay home to keep the germs to ourselves but when it goes on for so long we can't stay home from everything. I once thought that having a cold was better than having the flu but I think I've somewhat changed my mind. The baby has such a strong gag reflex he throws up when he gets the extra snot running down his throat. We have cleaned up ALOT of throw up lately. The pediatrician says not to worry that he will grow out of it but that's easy to say when you are not the one cleaning up the throw up! I've been trying to disinfect everything to get rid of this awful bug. I've been wishing we could open the windows and let the house air out. The only problem is the outside air is so full of pollutants its nearly thick enough to cut with a knife. Darn valley inversion!
Grandma came to help with the boys while Bryan was gone on business travel. She was truly a lot of help but it sounds like she took this wonderful bug home with her. Sorry Holly its the gift that keeps on giving.

Tagged SEVENS

7 Things I can do:

1.Quilt - Although I haven't for a couple of years (since I had kids), I like to design quilt patterns (very basic), sew quilt blocks and tie quilts.

2.Decorate cakes. This is one I am still working to develop a talent for. Someday I would like to have done enough variety to have a blog just for cake decorating.

3.Taxes, accounting/bookkeeping. There are some parts to this one that I do not enjoy like taking on the responsibility of making costly mistakes but overall I like to do accounting related things.

4.Clean my house. I love a clean house/I usually don't LIKE cleaning it but it is something I can do. It usually stays clean for a few seconds.

5.Grow things. I like house plants and I can keep them alive for the most part. Gardening and outside plants I haven't had as much practice but I try. Bryan really helps with the outside plants and stuff.

6. Cook. Not always gourmet like my cousin Betty a.k.a. Julie, but my family does not have to eat from a box every night. I try to make dinner regularly.

7.Change diapers. I have become a pro at this one over the past three years!

7 Things I can't do:
1.Cut hair
2.Scrapbook
3.Pack the car for a long trip - I leave this one to Bryan!
4.Technical Troubleshooting - this is also Bryan's job/area of expertise.
5.Play sports. I feel terribly uncordinated and inadequate in this area.
6.Make dough. Although I have been working a little bit on this one lately. Someday...
7.Make decisions. I have always had a hard time with this one just ask my Mom.

7 Things attracted me to Bryan:

1. His height - I love that he is tall!

2.He is so genuine. He tries to be friends with everyone, never talks bad about anyone. Usually everyone feels at ease when he is around.

3.I can always trust him 100+%

4.He is SUCH a hard worker and a smart problem solver!

5.He was really good around kids (my nieces and nephews). I knew he was good dad material.
He has EXCEEDED my expectations.

6. He is a saver/good with money.

7. He is always giving me compliments.

7 Things I say the most:
1. What time will you be home?
2. Stop talking and close your eyes (naptime)
3. McCrae - what are you doing?
4. What should I fix for dinner?
5. Awesome
6. Good job
7. I love you too

7 Goals for 2009:

2. Eat less sugar (always on the list)
3. Read on a regular basis
4. Spend more time "playing" with my kids
5. Save more for a 'rainy day'
6. Spend more time with Bryan
7. Floss every day

7 Favorite Foods:
1. Chicken - breaded, baked, BBQ'd, boiled... any way to cook it -I love chicken!
2. Coke flavored Slurpees. All year round!!!
3. Bavarian cream donuts
4. Ice cream - Favorite flavors: Mint with cookies, heavenly hash (chocolate, marshmallow, almond)

Reflecting on December 2008

Two little monkeys jumping on the bed...

One fell off and hurt his arm. Mom and Dad
took him to the ER and the Dr said no more
monkeys jumping on the bed! We thought it
could be broken but thankfully his arm is fine.

It just needed a splint for a while.

Baby blue eyes is finished wearing his helmet
during the day. He gets to wear it at night for
three more months.

We picked up Bryan from the airport and
took a trip to temple square to see the lights.
One of McCrae's highlights from the trip was
seeing the water fall in front of the conference
center.

The calm before the storm. The weather was
perfect for walking around temple square. The
snow hit the whole state the next day.

These boys were glad to see their daddy again
after being gone for a week to Norfolk, VA.

While Bryan was gone the boys and I went to
Vernal to visit Grandma and Grandpa. Holly,
Tiffany, McCrae and I all helped construct this
gingerbread house.

McCrae and Kellon playing with a train their
dad played with when he was a little tike.
