We just found out that Kellon has to have a helmet. At about two months old he started wearing a flat spot on his head. We started noticing at three months and trying to get him to lay on the bump side. With no experience or training our "methods" were not working. We mentioned it to our pediatrician at Kellon's four month check up and he referred us to a pediatric physical therapist. The pediatrician suspected he had torticollis which is a neck muscle problem causing him to favor laying with his head tilted to one side versus the other. After measuring and evaluating his neck mobility at the physical therapist visit he determined that he really just had a very soft head. (McCrae's head was really soft as an infant but he layed on it straight on the back of his head. As he started crawling and getting of his head his brain grew and pushed to round out his head.)
We are just starting the process of doctor visits etc. to get the ball rolling. The physical therapist left the ultimate decision up to us but recommended that we get fitted for a helmet. He said that correcting the problem now would possibly prevent orthodontic and TMJ problems later in life.
We thought we had parenting all figured out with McCrae and his different stages as a infant. Then Kellon came along with a whole new set of challenges and learning experiences!

THE BOYS
McCrae doesn't want much to do with his baby brother most of the time. He actually wanted to hold Kellon
while I took their picture.
Our digital camera has gone junk, I am so sad. So, any pictures we take I have to hope they turn out and wait until I use all of the film and then go and get them developed. My picture/posting will be a little delayed for awhile. SO frustrating!
